Post by chrisocm » 08 Sep 2017, 13:45

Hi all,

I have a 64-bit laptop and I have install sqlbase 12.0 and able to access the database using sqltalk. But when I install SqlWindows 2.1 (TD 2.1), there was an error when I execute my exe. The database resides in c:\database, programs in c:\stlbiz, sqlbase 12.0 in Program Files, TD2.1 in Program Files (x86)

SQL Error 9259, not found in ERROR.SQL file
00120 SQL IEV INCOMPATIBLE ERROR.SQL FOUND LOOKING UP ERROR 09259

Below are my sql.ini in Gupta/SQLBase 12.0 and Centura. Anyone knows what's wrong and your help is much appreciated

This sounds like you are trying to connect SQLBase 64 Bit with a 32 Bit app. This will not work. You will need the 32 Bit SQLBase Installation.

Hi,

@Peter, it depends on the client installation if you can connect from a 32bit TD application to a 64bit SQLBase.
@Chris, is this the same case that you described here viewtopic.php?f=20&t=45724 ?

- If yes, do you checked if there are multiple sql.ini files?
- install Process Explorer (or Process Monitor) from sysinternals and you can check the loaded files and their dirs
- 32bit client driver are installed?
- Do you create the database for your app from an (text) unload file?
