Edit control for HTML e-mails

Hi,

I need to create a HTML e-mail input dialog box, using TD 3.1; therefore I'm
looking for an input control that allows some text formatting (i.e. like an
RTF control), but also has the ability to get the HTML contents.

If you have any ideas, please let me know.

TIA,

Gerhard.

Try www.scintilla.org. There is a lexer for HTML. I have submitted a
wrapper to the IceTeaGroup website www.iceteagroup.com

Scintilla has a demonstration project called SciTE.exe. In that, there
is a File->Export function which can put the contents of the SCITE
Editor to HTML.

You cant embed SciTE itself into your program. However, you can embed
the control SCITE uses into your program. Since SciTE comes with the
source, look in it and see what happens inside.

I mean debug Scite and look in the source on what happens when you click
on Export->HTML. Maybe they have a built in funciton you can call.

I had good results with Scintilla. I use it for SQLEngineer.

Karthik

Kathrik,

thanks for your help, but I think I need somewhat more "WYSIWYG" ;-)
Scintilla itself does not seem to be capable of displaying the HTML layout
while keeping it editable, as far as I can see.

gerhard.

Stefan,

thanks; I've already found that control, but it's too expensive for the
current project. Therefore I'm currently looking into an RTF or DHTML
control and using List & Label (which we have here) as "HTML generator".
This way I also can solve the e-mail printing issue (I hope ;-) as well as
the required company layout that our customer wishes to have.

Regards,

gerhard.
