Dear All,

On Monday we have switched off the Gupta website and are redirecting all
traffic to http://www.unify.com.

All your guptaworldwide.com user accounts continue to work on unify.com
and allow you to download trial versions and White Papers just like with
the Gupta site.

Let me know if you experience any problems with the website transition.

Best regards,
Martin Teetz

Hi Martin,

perhaps you should at least direct it to a page, that has something to
do with Gupta products. e.g. TD or SQLBase.
I don't think the Unity page is very inviting either, sorry.

Just ma 2 cents, cheers
Wilhelm

Martin,

I'm sorry to say this, but I feel that this is yet another huge mis-step!

Let's see - Product identity shifts from Gupta to Centura back to Gupta,
and just when you have people FINALLY saying Gupta again - y'all switch
to Unify as maybe an identity ( until it gets sold again ).

Of course, there is no marketing to help anyone identify this switch -
and any goodwill and/or brand association with the Gupta name just
disappears.

Good luck....

Regards,

Bud Ingraham

Hi Bud,
I don?t think so. Most people have no good association with the "Centura"
and the "Gupta" had a big name but nobody knows them anymore.
IMHO they don?t leave a big name or brand behind.
The complete integration into unify shows that they care about the products
and will continue them and will not sell Gupta in a year (like all other
owner did). The productline from Unify and Ex-Gupta fit ideal together and
it semms that they have the power and the will to bring TD a huge step in
the right direction..

Regards,
Thomas L.

Hi Bud,

I support your opinion. Nevertheless I would at least suggest a short
message about the redirection to the unify website. As it is at the
moment one could think that guptaworldwide.com has been hijacked.

Wilhelm
