Wish: 2-digit File Version major/minor/rev #s allowed in Build Settings/Version...

Hi Unify:

This just reported to me by a client: The auto-formatter for the
"File Version" field in the Version tab of the Build Settings dlg.
box (menu Project/Build Settings...) forces a single digit only!

That's how it is with TD v4.2, anyway.

In my client's case he cannot enter an '11' as the major file
version. What the formatting does is auto-format that to '1.1.'

Was Gupta so pessimistic as to think that we couldn't write a TD
application that advanced beyond version 9? (Just joking...)

Anyway, if it isn't already, how about fixing this in v5.1?

BTW, you can set file version = '10.11.12.' programmatically
using the CDK, I see -- and a sample TD app displays that when
you read it into TD to see the version info. -- but any user
change to the field renders it back to 1.0.1., and using the CDK
to read in the value again returns the value as 1.0.1.

Best Regards,
Jeff @ PC Design

This fix would be very interesting for us too. At the moment we report wrong
version numbers to our customers, because of this problem with TD 4.1PTF2.

Regards,
Rainer
