SQLBASE 11.5 Server-management on SLES 10

Hi,

I just installed Unify SQLBase 11.5 SP 2 on a SLES 10 SP2. But how do I
start and stop the database.

First of all, everytime I start the dblxsrv I get an error, that the GTK
couldn't be initialized cause I'm running on console without xserver but
the docs doesn't say something about how to start the db in console-mode.

the second thing is: at the moment I'm starting the database with a
start and stop-skript which looks the following:

case "$1" in
start)
echo -n "Starting SQLBase"
startproc $SQLB_BIN
rc_status -v
;;
stop)
echo -n "Shutting down SQLBase"
killproc -TERM $SQLB_BIN
rc_status -v
rm -f /root/SQLBase*
;;

with that method the lock-files ~/SQLBase* aren't deleted and so, the
next time starting the database it doesn't work.

I would be gracefull for a few tips how to use the dblxsrv on a
linux-machine.

Best regards,

Marco
