POPUP MESSAGES FROM SQLBASE

Hi to all. I am trying to verify if the customers choosed particular codes
when inserting rows in the DB, but I don't have the source of the app. So I
created one trigger that should control the value before inserting rows. If
the code is verified I return one error that is trapped by the application
and shown, but this creates some problem because the app goes on and some
other link is missing. My question is: can I tell the trigger to display a
pop-up message only, without returning any error and without involving the
application logic? Even an external pop-up, like a stand alone program in C
or a noptepad window with some message. Many thanks.
Here the trigger:

create trigger VERIFY_PRICELIST BEFORE INSERT on row_doc
(execute inline (c_pricelist,
c_rigdocum,
t_docum)
procedure: verify_pricelist static
parameters
String: c_pricelist
Number: c_rigdocum
Number: t_docum
actions
If (t_docum=3 or t_docum = 5 or t_docum = 7) and (c_rigdocum=0
or c_rigdocum=6)
If c_pricelist='CULTIMO' or c_pricelist='BASE' or
c_pricelist='FORNIT' or c_pricelist='INVENT'
Return 3333
Else
Else
) for each row;
