Oracle connection TD 7.0

Post by jpkahkola » 20 May 2017, 09:27

I have problems connecting to Oracle 11g database (TD 7.0 64).

sql.ini file

[win32client.dll]
; order of win32client dll's is important when connecting to multiple databases.
; sqlws32 should always be the last and sqlodb32 be 2nd last.
comdll=sqlora32
comdll=sqlws32
; comdll=sqlsyb32
; comdll=sqlodb32

This has worked earlier (TD 6.2)

Hi Jari,

Do you have these in your sql.ini

[oragtwy]
remotedbname=DevSvr1,xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
substitute=SYSSQL.,
substitute=",
remotedbname=oracle7,@x:orasrv
longbuffer=32767
fetchrow=20

I've connected to oracle 7 using td2.1 and that was long ago. Can't actually recall. Hope this helps.

Regards,
Chris

Yes that's okay, but when I try connect example sqltalk to oracle database comes error message "09267 GCI IDL Invalid COM DLL". All is same as earlier on sql.ini file, only change is that I upgrade TD6.2 to TD7.0. Oracle client work fine, but Team Devloper dosen't make connection to oracle database.

You said
TD 7.0 64
Having the 64 bit version of TD you must use the 64 bit Oracle client installation.
