Help...please => corrupted *.app file...

Hi Group,

i posted this message to the td.development-group first, because i thought
it was a TD problem. But now i think it could be a TOM problem.
This happens to every revision of the file "proOnline.app" which is located
in the repository. It happens after the file was checked in and then
checked out again. But im really sure, the earlier revisions have been OK
before checking in the file.

Saving as apt doesnt help...

Is anyone able to explain why the following can happen?

Application Description: Centura SQLWindows Standard Application Template
Application Description: Centura SQLWindows Standard Application Template
Application Description: Centura SQLWindows Standard Application Template

These lines appear in one apl.
Normally an application description appears only once.
Now the contents of these 3 descriptions are also different. So i have to
search for the right version. And i have to hope that the right version is
in only one description and not distributed over these 3.

UPDATE: It looks like the 3 Versions are mixed. And im not able to delete
one of them. I have to copy them into another file. But therefore i need to
watch for the different versions. Isnt there an easier way?

Is this my fault? If so, what did i do wrong?

I think it happens after checking in the file to the repository and then
check it out again.

Environment:
WinXP Prof.
SQL Windows 3.1 PTF 3 (new version)
TOM 3.1

Thanks for any hint...

Markus

TOM's Diff/Merge isn't perfect. Save your outline as text (NOT indented).
Open it in notepad or another text editor & manually delete the offending
rows.

Return to “td.tom”
