I would like to make automated backups (SNAPSHOT specifically) of my SQLBase databases.
I have tried using the scheduling feature of SQLConsole, however the backups don't seem to run unless the SQLConsole program is open. So I scheduled the SQLConsole program to open 15 minutes before the backup using Windows Scheduler.
This did not work and every time I open the SQLConsole, it tells me there are scheduled events that have been missed.I am setting up these tasks on a server where noone is logged in at the times I would like these tasks to run.
What am I doing wrong?
(I have also tried a batch file with SQLTalk, but I can't get past the <F5> to run my script and the window where it asks me to confirm the overwrite of the backup file).
Thank you so much for your help.

Best advice is to go to the proper Gupta Sqlbase forum:

and get some help from Mike Vandine and the Gupta boys - they're the best.
