In Centura Report Builder, how does one adjust field or text boxes to the size and shape one wants...
If I click/drag the side of the object, it doesn't always line up with what I have above it...
If I go to properties, it will only let me edit the Start Position and not the actual size.
Also, is it possible to have a text box overlap 2 lines so that I have a header that is centered vertically over 2 lines?

Re: Sizing text boxes or fields in Report Builder.
The height of a text box or field is restricted to the height of the line it resides on - which makes good sense, therefore if you need a 'taller' field, you must adjust the height of the line it is on by selecting the line, right click it, select 'properties' and edit 'Force Line Height' to be something other than the default. The objects on the line will auto-adjust their height to be the same as the line.
To adjust the width simply grab the edge and move it in or out.
To align the edges of two or more objects, select the ones you want aligned ( hold shift-select), select 'Report' menu item from the top of the report template, select 'Align' menu item,a pop-up menu then allows you to select which side you want to align.
For your last question - just make the header line wider as per above - any object on the line will auto-adjust . Delete any unwanted empty lines.

Re: Sizing text boxes or fields in Report Builder.
Hi Steve,
Thanks for the reply.
I know that you can drag the left/right sides to widen the boxes, but how can you manually enter a size to conform to (i.e. I want to set a width)?
About the vertical centering... I mean something like "merging" text boxes vertically.. I want a text box that covers 2 lines so that I can center my text string vertically within the height of 2 lines... if that makes sense? Something like Merging to cells in Excel and then centering the contents vertically. Can that be accomplished? It doesn't seem like it...
