rtf to html

Post by cde_aareon » 04 Apr 2019, 12:28

Hello

We want to use Rich Control Text to manage mail templates.
We need to save the mail contents from 'rtf' format to 'html' format.
Has anybody already realized this transformation with Centura or with an external solution?

Thanks
Poulet Benoît

Is Microsoft Word present on the system?

If so, you can use its COM/ActiveX interface to load a RTF file and save it as HTML programmatically.

A little bit out of topic: We needed a solution for msg to pdf, it's nearly the same, but you need two steps.

First we use the COM/ActiveX interface from Outlook to load a msg file and save it as HTML.
then we use the COM/ActiveX interface from Word to load the HTML file and save it as PDF.

Much better than using a PDF-Printer (performance, no installer or postscript needed).
