Automated Testing Tools - any recommendations ?

Post by Steve Leighton » 09 Mar 2011, 01:52

Any recommendations / experience of using Automated Testing Tools against a TD gui and SQLBase dB .
I have used WinRunner in the past - but see that HP are discontinuing it.
Any other recommendations for a large ERP system greatly appreciated.

Many thanks all. After much analysis we have gone with SmartBear TestComplete which seems really comprehensive.

@all who are using TestComplete:

Is it possible to create Table Check Points with TestComplete? I've installed the trial version but I don't see a chance to do that. Using the Finder Tool the Child Tables in my applications are found, but I get the message "The selected object has no data to store." So I guess that Child and Tables and Grids are not supported.

Hello,

we're currently evaluating TOSCA. (http://www.tosca-testsuite.com/)
This is an Austrian product which has a special support for SQLWindows applications.
AFAIK, they're currently updating that support for TD 6.
