Ordinal numbers in dll export

Post by hroitner » 22 Jan 2016, 08:26

Hi there,

I want to export some functions as dll from Visual Studio to TD6.1.
When I use ordinal numbers 1,2,3,.. TD compiles correctly.
When I use ordinal numbers 0, I get 'cannot find function within external library'.

I have checked everything for typos, but there are none.

I would very much appreciate your help.

Thanks, Heinz

Hi Heinz,

Do you have the EXPORTAPI macro defined and specified in each function declaration you wish to export as per the TD book "TD Developing with SQLWindows.pdf" chapter 22? Page 523 also goes into detail on requirements for function naming.

There are also TD samples available for download from the Gupta Technologies download area that I believe include examples of linking C functions. These might help you but if not, you could attach a stripped down example of the problem you're facing so we can try and reproduce it and advise.

Brgds,
Marcel
