Hello,
I have been trying to re-install Retail Ice 7.5.99. The program seems to install with no problem but when we try to open the program the sqlbase times out. Retail Ice needs the sqlbase running in order to open the POS. Which means our retail store and website is currently running without a POS - not good. Of coarse Cam Commerce has decided not to support Retail Ice. Currently 8.5.0-PTF3 S is what shows trying to run.
Your help will be much appreciated. Let me know if you have any questions.

Please show us your sql.ini file and any fail.sql file that is in the SQLBase runtime directory.
Is SQLBase set up to run as a service?

Not sure why you needed to re-install but it's possible the POS.DBS was left in an incomplete state by whatever necessitated a re-install. Was the re-install a fresh install (empty database) or did you place/leave your old database? Possibly connecting in SQLTalk (and doing a roll-forward if necessary) might get you connected back up. A check Database may reveal some clues. SQLBase install may not be where ICE is looking ...

CAM does indeed still support Retail ICE.
Mike is right on with his assessment, the uninstall/reinstall more than likely left some files, and the sql.ini that windows is using is probably not the one that points to your pos.dbs

Thanks Mike & Josh. I will start with calling Cam Commerce again - last time they told me they didn't support Retail Ice any longer. Urrrrr so frustrating.
