Is it possible to use MS Active Directory or domail login?

Post by aleshk » 19 Oct 2011, 15:55

Hi All

Our cusstomers request that our TD application should be able to perform automatic login to a DB (SqlBase DB) using the OpenLDAP or Microsoft Active Directory.
This would enable users to perform only one login to the domain and our application correspondently would use this to perform the regular - but automatic - login.
Our customers say that they could do with other products working with MS Sql Server.
Is it possible to do with SqlBase? How if possible?
If not - are any Unify plans that it will be possible?

Thanks,
Alexander

Hi Alexander,

Network authentication is not yet available, but is slated for the 11.7 release.

Best regards,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for reply. Any timeline for v.11.7?
Is it possible to reade somewhere info about new features planned to 11.7?

Thanks,
Alexander

Are you coming to the Developer's Conference in Hamburg? I'm going to be doing a presentation on SB11.7 new features. I can't really pre-empt that presentation, but ask me after the DevCon and I can send you the PPT slides.

Not sure when 11.7 is out, but it won't be for a good while yet.
