Same connection to 2 DBs

I wonder how this happens. When I try to kill 8 CILSEC, the server crashes - no FAIL.SQL.

Hi Feroz,

And what version of SQLBase? And what version of ConnectView?

ConnectView is not one of our products, so you use it at your own risk. :)

That's a TD program which is one of the most useful things around - been using it for years. Attached

With the newer Windows, the Sqlbase console doesn't appear on the server.

I'm just foxed how it could happen.

That's why I was asking about the SQLBase version. The structure of the server changed with 11.6 and the app could be using the structure DLLs from an older version.

No idea how it could happen other than that. :)

You can easily show the console on newer Windows versions.

As usual, activate 'Interaction with Desktop' for the SQLBase service.
In addition, start the 'Interactive Services Detection' service (comes with newer Windows versions).

After a while, you will see a 'Interactive Services Detection' window in the task bar.
Click on 'View the message' will switch to a separate 'Desktop' where you can the the SQLBase console.
Click on 'Return now' will bring you back to the normal desktop.

Works e.g. for SQLBase 9.0 and SQLBase 11.0 (and other services which have a GUI).
Works with Windows Vista, Windows 7, ... and with Server 2008, Server 2012.

Regards,
Rainer
