With the newer Windows, the Sqlbase console doesn't appear on the server.
I'm just foxed how it could happen.
You can easily show the console on newer Windows versions.FRBhote wrote:With the newer Windows, the Sqlbase console doesn't appear on the server.
As usual, activate 'Interaction with Desktop' for the SQLBase service.
In addition, start the 'Interactive Services Detection' service (comes with newer Windows versions).
After a while, you will see a 'Interactive Services Detection' window in the task bar.
Click on 'View the message' will switch to a separate 'Desktop' where you can the the SQLBase console.
Click on 'Return now' will bring you back to the normal desktop.
Works e.g. for SQLBase 9.0 and SQLBase 11.0 (and other services which have a GUI).
Works with Windows Vista, Windows 7, ... and with Server 2008, Server 2012.
