@scan with german umlauts

Post by cvz » 14 Jun 2010, 12:45

Hello,

we are using SQLWindows 5.2 SP1 EMP 5257 with SQLBase 11.5. and sqlbase 9.01

The search @scan(matchcode,'Mü') in sqltalk is succesfull also in .exe build with TD5.2.
However we edit 'Mü' in a datafield and set the datafield to a string the result of " where @SCAN(" || strFirstCol || " ," || ":strSuchFeld)=0 "
is null.

Thanks in advance
CVZ

Hello Jeff,

here is a little test case.
I've used our database called 'ELBE'.
You have to change the database parameters in the application start section.
In our database the field matchcode is defined as char(30) not null.
We use sqlbase 11.5.3 7084 and TD 5.2 SP1 build 18022 EMP 5257.
Thanks in advance

Can't run it. References to MTbl. And I tried to run the EXE and get an error. Keep it simple, please, nothing fancy. A small test case: Connect to SQLBase, create small test DB table, insert, fetch, whatever. Simple is best.

Hello Jeff,

what about my test case.
In a german programm we need umlauts. Without this it is not possible to distribute the programm with TD5.2!

Hi cvz,

Hallo Michael,

thank you very much for the hint.
We installed EMP 5259 and it works too. :P

@unify
But I don't understand why not unify give me the hint, because I sent a test case to Jeff and get no answer. :cry:
