Hello:)
Came to company which still has active Gupta SQL Base 6.1.1 running on Windows Server 2003. Of course, I need to migrate it to newer version because EXPORT of data to Word or Excel doesn't work (i click on it, nothing happens).
To be honest, in my 15 years sysadmining, I haven't seen a case like this.
ANY help is highly desirable. I've already searched archive form mailing lists and didn't find an answer.
The goal is to migrate data to newest MS SQL Server.
Is there any way to do that?

Surely you really mean you want to upgrade to SQLBase v12.2.
If you do actually want to downgrade to SQLServer , then you can use the SQLServer Import Wizard DTSWizard.exe , which will connect to SQLBase and extract all the data types and Data and create a script - but it needs alot of tweaking and sleepless nights.
Much much more economic and greater return to go to SQLBase 12. You'll be blown away by it. That's my best advice.
p.s. Unclear what you mean by 'EXPORT of data to Word or Excel doesn't work (i click on it, nothing happens)' . You should be running an UNLOAD via SQLTalk into a flat .txt file.
Do yo have proper SQLBase manuals to show you how to do this? If not, go here: https://samples.tdcommunity.net/index.p ... ase_Books/ and research UNLOAD.
