Post by Sokolov_Victor » 30 Nov 2011, 07:55

Hello

Does Team Developer 6.0 support Oracle TAF (transparent application failover)?

We are using Oracle TAF (10g) along with TD 3.1, and it works like a charm, so I assume it will work with TD 6 as well.
It depends on tnsnames.ora, which looks like this:

Code: Select all

****_TAF =
  (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
      (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = <node1>)(PORT = 1521))
      (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = <node2>)(PORT = 1521))
      (LOAD_BALANCE = yes)
    )
    (CONNECT_DATA =
      (SERVER = DEDICATED)
      (SERVICE_NAME = <taf_service_name>)
      (FAILOVER_MODE =
        (TYPE = SELECT)
        (METHOD = BASIC)
        (RETRIES = 180)
        (DELAY = 5)
      )
    )
  )
