Team Developer and Postgresql

Hello,

Anyone here working with a postgresql database ?

It would be very nice to share your traps and pitfalls (transactions, things to avoid) for this database.

Is there anything special to check when working with postgres ? I feel like the same code doesn't work the same with sqlbase (works fine) and postgresql (crashes TD).

Well, 'postgresql' is a good token to search for here. I see 2 pages of returns for this on the forum here, FYI.

Well, "crash" is always an ugly word, but I would think they are very different DBs, so I am not surprised same code would not work. Well, basic SQL should work -- DML, SELECT, etc. -- but any add-ons like SQLBase '@' functions would not.

You would need to show us what this "same code" might be you refer to.
