TD6.2 not connecting with Oracle 10g/11g

Hi All,

I am trying to connect TD6.2 application with Oracle 10g/11g . I have the configuration files like application config file <app>.ini and the SQL.ini in place and all entries seems to be correct. I am able to connect Oracle 10g/11g using SQLTalk. But not with TD6.2 app. I am not using ODBC connectivity. Could you please help me resolve this issue asap? This is so critical and urgent. Appriciate your immediate response and help.

Things you need to supply with any Oracle connection-related help request, whether "urgent" or not:

• What is the error code you're seeing?
• Can TNSPing see the Oracle listener correctly from the same CMD prompt (i.e. with the same path, etc.)?
• Does SQL*Plus connect through the listener to the specified user successfully?
• What is the code that makes the call? Preferably, put together a test .APT with the SQL.INI and zip it up, attach a test case. Make sure you change any passwords to '***'.

Also, if you could, provide the "scrubbed" (i.e replace your "real" info, like IP addresses, server names, etc., with "fake" substitutes) versions of:

• the relevant entries in SQL.INI and TNSNAMES.ORA
• the connect statement that successfully gets you connected in SQLTalk (i.e. CONNECT {database} {user-id}/{password};)
• the Team Developer lines of coding, including set statements for SqlDatabase/SqlUser/SqlPassword

Aside: what version of the Oracle Client are you using ?

Posting the environment could also be useful... (PATH, ORACLE_HOME)...
