Sample application MSSQL connection

Post by kjellv » 13 May 2016, 15:03

hi

Any that can zip me an example application where you have connected to MSSQL using 'SQLOLEDB (local database preferably)

My sConnectionString looks like this
'SQLOLEDB;Data Source=ASUS;Initial Catalog=HOLLYWD;User ID=sa;Password=p7pusWEr;Persist Security Info=True;'

which stop at Call SqlCreateSession( hSqlLocal, sConnectionString ) which I have on the pbConnect in the login screen.

I need to see where I'm doing wrong.

Thanks for all/any help......

Ummmm. What is the error that you're getting? That could give a big clue as to what might be going wrong.

Have you downloaded the Samples? There are sample applications of oledb connectivity.

Go to:

http://www.guptatechnologies.com/Servic ... loads.aspx

Expand the TD section and look for the Samples download there.

the udl works fine.

The only error I get i in the standard error box when I run my app:
/sa
rest is BLANK

att. you will see the udl, the error when I run the Sample app. and the connection string I am using with the rest on pbConnect

To me it look like this is the same error, they complain about the USER, "sa", but the Udl does not complain- could it be a setting in the Database????????

Thanks
