Checkbox/Radiobtn: font update not applied

Post by Dave Rabelink » 08 Dec 2015, 16:00

When changing the font (pointsize) of a checkbox/radiobutton, the objects are not visually updated.
I could not find a workaround (yet) to force these objects to display correctly after changing font.

See sample.
(from WIKI article).

Run sample and see that checkbox and radiobutton do not show the font as expected.
Other objects like datafield/button do display correctly.

This issue is present starting from TD 6.1.
(TD 5.x and TD 6.0 are OK).

The sample is saved in TD 5.1 format.

Hi Dave,

I could definitely reproduce this. I only have versions starting with TD6.1 on my machine, so could see it on all versions.

Some interesting things that I noticed:

1. If while the RB and Checkbox's are being updated (as the others grow) the image sizes remain exactly the same. However, if you mouse over either of the objects, the images then show larger as they grow, but sporadically, i.e. it's not a 'smooth' transition of growth.
2. Mousing over the checkbox, the image is limited to the size of the checkbox itself, not necessarily of the size of the whole object (including the text and image) so only as tall as the checkbox itself.

Have a look at the attached video.

Please let me know if this helps with any possible workarounds. After you tell me what you discover, I will log a defect for this.

Best regards,

Mike
