TD 4.2 Debug step into crash when too long comment on line

Post by juhosalo » 22 Sep 2009, 08:16

Hi,

If a line of code containing a class reference variable declaration is too long because of a long comment, then stepping into any function calls through that reference will cause the debugger to stop.

After this if you try to start the debugging again, the entire IDE falls apart. Clicking on any of the buttons will do nothing etc...
Problem can be reproduced by using the attached sample application. Just try to debug from SAM_AppStartup onwards using step into each time.
I managed to nail it down to the fact that if the physical line size exceeds 130 characters then the problem appears.
