SQLB-2493: SQLBaseOLEDB not fully functional

Hi,
the SqlBase 12 SQLBaseOLEDB.dll doesn’t seem to be fully functional as it was with 11.7 or earlier versions.
Unfortunately, after upgrading to SqlBase 12 for some customers, some vbs-scripts for managing purposes (e.g. install/deinstall a database, backup etc.) didn’t work anymore as they did before and still do with e.g. SQLBaseOLEDB of SqlBase 11.6 or 11.7. Generally, the 32-bit SQLBaseOLEDB driver has been used, only with 11.7 SQLBaseOLEDB I tested also with the x64-dll.

Select’s etc. are still possible with the 12.0 OLEDB, but elements of the SQLBASEOLEDBServer class do not work, although they are still somehow defined in the DLL. Try for example MS Excel with VBA. Incude the SQLBaseOLEDB Type Library and look into the Object Catalog for the SQLBASEOLEDBServer Class and it’s functions/properties. They are listed, but do not work.

To reproduce the problem in a simple way, the following testcase contains two vb-scripts, their names are self-explaining.

The scripts will prompt whether to use the 32-bit or 64-bit environment (and this determines also the corresponding SQLBaseOLEDB Driver, either the 32-bit one or the x64-version).
The first vb-script does a simple select in the island database and that works also with the OLE of SqlBase 12.0.
The second script will ask for the SQLBase-servername (default is server1). Then it will use the SQLBASEOLEDBServer class to connect to that server and to show again that servername and also the clientname. This second script works well for at least SQLBaseOLEDB.dll 11.7 and 11.6 (and presumably older ones), but not with the one from 12.0 or 12.0 SP1.
