This will be in the SQLBase subdirectory (if you installed it).

Hi Didier,

SQLAPIPE.DLL is supplied by TD5.2 and is located in the TD5.2/SQLBase subdirectory!!!

When you installed TD5.2, did you choose to install SQLBase? If you did, this file should be there! It is in MY SQLBase subdirectory and I get the same installer that you do.

Hi Didier,

Sorry for the long delay. Please explain to me in detail *exactly* what you are trying to accomplish, i.e. you want to have a TD application that uses anonymous pipes to connect to a SQLBase 9.0.1 database?

Are you trying to do this connection from the TD GUI?
Where on your PC is the SQLBase engine running from?
Please supply the sql.ini that you are trying to use.

Thanks!

So to clarify:

1. You will create an executable with TD5.2.
2. This will be deployed to a customer with the TD5.2 deployment files.
3. You will use SQLAPIPE to connect to a SQLBase 11.5 database.

So a final question:

Can the SQLBase dbntsrv.exe and it's runtimes be in a different directory?

Give me the answers to this question and confirm my clarification above and I will find out what is necessary to make this work. :)

Best regards,

Ahhhh. Now we're getting to what the REAL problem is! The TD Deploy doesn't contain SQLAPIPE.DLL.

To me that is understandable, because the deploy.exe is a deployment for TEAM DEVELOPER, not SQLBase.

So, how did you previously deploy your application? Did you run the deploy.exe, take those files and include your executable along with SQLBase single-user and put them all in a single directory and install that directory at a customer site?

Is there some reason that you NEED to use SQLAPIPE, knowing that you can use SQLWS32 and SQLBase will automatically start up like SQLAPIPE used to?

Best regards,

bills

Did it work before 5.1 or 5.2? Is it something that got broken with 5.x?
