TD-9613: TD 6.0 PTF3 SybWriteText only writes one char

Post by Brian Howard » 07 Oct 2011, 06:00

Hi,

When using SybWriteText only the first character of the data is written to the database.

Sybase 15.

The work around is convert the text to MultiByte before writing, but this will have to happen to every instance of this.

Repro case attached.

Please respond

Regards

Brian

Brian - take a look at your test case. 'param' is missing from INSERT statement, but I got it to working and see that for both INSERT and UPDATE only 1 char. is getting over to SYBASE DB, and it doesn't seem to matter whether you call SalStrToMultiByte() to convert the the string to ANSI.

I found this in our defect database and updated TD-9613 with the test case.
