Break Group Header

Post by jdurban » 24 Oct 2019, 09:43

Hi,
How can I repeat a break group header on the next page if the next break would later on page 2 or 3? Using RB 7.2.
Example: a report with all citizens of a town with the road name. The break condition will be road name, which will be printed as headline in the break group header. I will have a list with all citizens grouped by raodname.
In the first road there are about 100 people. The list starts like:
Harbour Street:
Jim
Jeff
Donald
...
On page 2 the list will be going on with
Boris
Therisa
...
and so an, but there no road name as headline. When you only have page 2 then you don't know the name of the road.
I can't use page header, because maybe middle in the page the road name changes.
What I'm looking for is something like "repeat header on next page on top" in the properties of an break group header.
Any ideas?
thanks and regards
Jürgen

G'day Jürgen,

The field you have in the break group, I would put it in the Detail Block of your report.

For the Behavior of that field, I would set it up with these "Repeating Values" settings:
  • Suppress = Yes
  • Display After Page Break = Yes
  • Display After Group Break = Yes (???)
Give that a spin and see how it works.

Cheers and best regards !
