Hi, I'm using Gupta TD 2005.1 and I have developed a Poit-Of-Sale systemwhich uses the Report Builder to print out the customer slips. The only problem is that the report has to be a certain height and width; this means that whether a person purchases 1 item or 10 items, they will get the same length slip.
Is there a way to 'Tell' Report Builder how long the slip has to be for each individual print out?
Bare with me, i'm still new at TD.
Report Length
Re: Report Length
At the properties Dialog of the Detail Block, there is an entry "Force minimum heigth". You may set this to your slip sice. But, this is only the minimum, will say, if there are more entries in the detail block, you will get another page with that minimum heigth, but i think this is exactly what you want.
Re: Report Length
Our receipts are set to a 17 inch length. The Star printers we use have a page size setting called 'Receipt' that ends the page at the end of the actual output area.
