Image formats supported by SalReportSetObjectVar in 5.1?

Hi

We're using TD 5.1 SP6. I wondered if it was possible to use image formats other than BMP with SalReportSetObjectVar (after reading the image file into a string variable?). The bitmap sizes for high quality images can be enormous and it makes things impossibly slow.

Anyone know anything about this? I get the feeling from seeing other posts that PNG support is way too much to hope for, but maybe jpg?
