I've had a message in my Private messages Outbox for a week. How do I make it send?

I've had a message in my Private messages Outbox for a week. How do I make it send?

The message is kept in "Outbox" until the receiver has read (opened) the message.
After being read, it is moved to "Sent messages" automatically.
