TD-23563: Deployer installs SQLWNTM.DLL when this DLL isn't required to connect other supported DB engines than SQLBase

Post by Dave Rabelink » 31 May 2017, 12:02

In Team Developer, the deployer setup installs per default SQLWNT.DLL when this DLL isn't required to connect to other supported DB engines than SQLBase.
The requested feature is for the setup to add an SQLBase option so that user can choose to deploy or not this DLL depending there needs.

As for TD7.0, the size of SQLWNT.DLL is about 30MB.
When deployed, the TD runtime will automatically load this dll into memory even without really using it.

Manually removing this DLL from the deploy folder will decrease the setup/install footprint and will decrease memory usage at runtime.

Thanks Dave. Just saw this post.

It is a good spot. Let the space taken for this DLL but loading to memory is not ok.

Shall I go ahead and raise the Ticket to avoid loading this DLL to memory if this is not yet resolved?

Thanks
