[.NET Explorer] Not easy to use more than one assembly

Post by markus.essmayr » 10 Nov 2010, 14:48

Hello,

when creating the proxies for classes of one assembly, it works quite well (with the known limitations).
But what if you want to consume the functionality of another assembly as well?

Currently, .NET Explorer generates another APL which again contains references to GAILWrapper.dll, some constants, enums, functions and so on.
Importing this APL in the applications results in "Duplicate symbol" errors and it doesn't compile.

Currently the developer has to extract the shared definititions into a separate APL and include that in the generated ones.
As this is not comfortable at first, it's also overwritten if somthing has to be regenerated.

There should be a generic APL that contains all base things as it exists for ActiveX usage.
