I'm feeling dumb here, because I'm still not able to write up an enhancement request from your posts.

Can you tell me exactly what you want? 32-bit images in the following formats, and then exactly what controls you're talking about. Pictures would help.

Hi Chris,

I agree with Didier in wishing of further graphic-format-support with TD.
Maybe BMP, ICO (any size, up to 32bit color-depth), PNG (also with alpha-color), GIF (animated?) and JPG would be on the "most wanted"-list.
(@Didier: please add formats as you are in need to use them ...)
There are still some controls, like the "ListView" (from the Visual Toolchest), that do not support any of these, or only with restrictions ...
Take a look at my sample on a "ListView" attached (TD5.1 SP4).
You will agree, that my 32Bit-Icons don't look too nice ...

On the other hand, Buttons do already support (at least) 32Bit-Icons. Even with old versions of TD like 3.1.
Is it possible to use that functionality even with the "ListView" (and on other places where graphics are used).

It would be great to have an even level of supported graphic-formats on all of these controls dealing with graphics.
(as I recall there are differences now from one control to another)

I agree, we need to support 32bit depth images for all objects, including additional image formats. This is a larger piece of work though that will not make it into 5.2. But it is on the list to be done.

what about that "list to be done" ... are these topics that are scheduled for 5.5, 6.0 ... ?
(don't get me wrong ... I'm not stepping on your toes, but a litte more infos about "what's to come" would be helpful)
