SalReportPrint error RPT_ErrFileOpen

Post by Johann » 14 Nov 2016, 10:27

Hello,

I have here a little print app created, which is called via commandline with parameters. Called from cmd, I get back an error 5 = RPT_ErrFileOpen.
When its run in debug mode out of the ide, everything works fine.

Has anybody an idea to what file the RPT_ErrFileOpen refers?

Any hint is appreciated

Best regards
Johann

Probably an issue with the PATH setting to the report?

ok, I'm a step ahead, there was a dll missing which I found.

But now I get RPT_ErrLoadDLL = 1 which means a report dll is missing. I do not want to install the Deployment on that machine, but need to know which dlls from TD are necessary to be able to print with SalReportPrint() function

Regards
Johann

I use Dependency Walker to check for DLLs to deploy. Just be warned that Gupta.NET-DLLs from TD won't be found to be used by your exe.

Hello Peter,

thanks for the hint. The most of the Gupta.TD.Runtime.... are not in the installation dir. Where can I find the rest of them?

Best regards

Mine are in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Gupta\Team Developer 6.3\", "C:\Program Files (x86)\Gupta\Team Developer 6.3\netbin\" and "C:\Program Files (x86)\Gupta\Team Developer 6.3\netbin\de".
Gupta.TD.wpf.Common.dll seems to be outdated. It was part of TD 6.2.
