Team Developer 3.1 PTF3 Refresh is Available

Post by SurenBehari » 08 Feb 2005, 02:55

Hi,

This is a refresh of the original PTF3 made available in December 2004. The build number, 13583, is the same as the original PTF. If the original PTF3 is currently installed, you must uninstall it before installing this refreshed PTF3. Please refer to the Readme for more details regarding the uninstallation and installation.

Thanks,

Suren Behari

If the PTF3 refresh is different to the original PTF3, why not a PTF4 or at
least a new build number?
This would give us the chance to detect which version is installed (at the
customer's side).

Snippet from
http://www.guptaworldwide.com/Support/Files/PTFDocs/TD31PTF3Readme.htm

"You can verify which version is installed on a system by checking the
version information of the files installed by the PTF. This is done by using
Windows Explorer, right-clicking on any of the files installed by the PTF,
and choosing Properties. Then click on the Version tab and choose Product
Version from the "other version information" section. The version string for
the refresh PTF3 will say "3.1.0-PTF3(R)". The version string for the same
file in original PTF3 will lack the "(R)"."

From PTF3R TD31PTF3fixes.htm:

82287 With an OLEDB consumer used against databases other than SQLBase, changing DBP_AUTOCOMMITon the fly from ON to OFF multiple times returns error "Cannot start more transactions on this session".
82300 SalReportPrint only prints one copy when nCopies is greater than 1.
82302 While printing a report saved with a different paper size setting (that is supported by the current printer) than the current printer's default setting, it displays a message stating that the report size is greater than the paper size.

If, before printing, you open printer setup dialog only for looking (it's
not necessary to modify something) and then print, you got an error in
GTLSI31.DLL. In XP you got the error message then the application hangs and
the printer starts anyway, in W2000 you don't have the message. Is it solved
in PTF3??

Hi,

does anybody know if we need to update the TeamDeveloper to PTF3(R), too? Also, do I need to create new executables before I could update the customer to PTF3(R)?

best regards
Andreas

i downloaded the ptf3(r) and number of copies in SalReportPrint now works fine.
In TD 2005 doesn't work. Did you know any release date for ptf1 for TD2005. Is the defekt number
82300 SalReportPrint only prints one copy when nCopies is greater than 1.

fixed in ptf1?

thanks
Heribert
