Hi,

I need to create a PDF format report from the application directly, even
though the default printer setting not PDF writer printer (a PDF writer
program can be chosen from the application). How to do this?

TIA.

Hi.

I'm using Win2Pdf to create PDF File from reports.

I use the function SalPrtSetDefault before printing to select the pdf
printer. I've got the value to use with the function SalPrtGetDefault
after having define the pdf printer as default. Before printing, I put
in the register the file name to generate( this is how Win2Pdf works)
: if I don't, I will be ask to enter the filename with a saveAs dialog
box.. That's all.

Which pdf app are you going to be using? If Adobe PDFWriter be aware that
adobe no longer supports it. If Amyuni PDF Converter, let me know since I
have some code that will help you do so.

I think Amyuni is the way to go ... never had any problems with it and works
like a charm!

Plus they have a license so that you can deploy the DLL's needed without
your client needing to buy a license (which is a very big pro here).
