i'm testing upgrade TD.3.0 -> TD5.1 in Estonia and came across possible
bug (or at least problem to us). We are using XP with Estonian regional
settings (See the pictures attatched regional.jpg).
Databse is SqlBase 11.0.1.
The application upgrade went quite well :) on first glance but..
when we try to print report with numbers bigger than 1 000,00 (note the
'space' as thousand digit grouping symbol and 'comma' as decimal symbol)
it just crashes-freezes. Reports where number values are smaller than
1 000,00 will print just fine (even with conditional formating and all
other whistles and bells) -report.jpg .
ONLY way how i have been able to print report is to remove check boxes
from report template but that will use default english number format
('comma' as thousand digit grouping symbol and 'dot' as decimal symbol)
and that is not acceptable here - ReportOK.jpg
The old TD3.0 and RB3.0 work fine and with no problems.
Has anyone else had same kind of problem in other languages and how they
overcome that problem??
I read that Mati had a problem with Estonian locale too ("Character
problem in TD5.1" in "forum.td.development"). Are there relation to that?
