Custom control bug...?! is there a work-around?

Hi there,

This is VERY strange...
I've declared a Custom Control referencing user32.dll, class name
SysDateTimePick32.
At this point, everything worked as espected... I can see the control... use
it... then I save the file... When I open it again, an run the sample, it
DOESN'T show up...
Doing some tests... I've noticed that if I open the "Attribute Inspector" or
the "Controls" panel (where all objects are published) it is showed
correctly... but if I avoid this, it is not shown even when I see the
"Layout" of the frm containing the Custom Control.
And thats not the hole problem... doing a .exe file, doesn't solve the
problem either!!!... so... I cannot use the Custom Control at all...!!!!

Any clues about this?!?!?!?....

Sample attached. -- TD 2005 PTF1

My best regards, and I hope someone can find a work-around for this...!!!

I've also tested it in CTD 1.5.1 PTF3... and it has the same behaviour...!

I have tested it with TD3.1 (ptf3) and see no problems.

I've also noticed that when I open the sample in 3.1 I don't see the custom
control BUT when I compile, it shows up... and then I can see it in the
layout screen...

Pedro,

Tested in TD 1.5.1 (no ptf) and i see no problems also.

Maybe it is a problem on your workstation, check it elsewhere.

I've tested on a different machine, in TD 2005 PTF1 also, and the behaviour
changes...
In design time ( layout ) I dont see the control, but when I run the app, it
appears... I would be quite happy with that... buuuuuut... when I build the
.exe, it dissapears :(

Its ODD!!!... I've also tested with CreateWindowEx api function... and has
the same behaviour... :(
Once I open the attribute inspector, it works................!!!

I'm VERY confused!!!...

I FIND A SOLUTION!!!! :)

Inspiring myself on a C sample... I saw that first, they called
InitCommonControlsEx function...
and calling this funcion On_SAMAppStartup it works !!!! :)
EVEN if I don't see the control in the form "Layout"...!!!

I quite convinced that something is not OK in the IDE regarding this
issue...

Dave, thank you VERY MUCH for your time!!!...

My very best regards...
