SQLBASE 9.01 PTF1 crashes when "grant connect" without password

i want to create a user with no password.
so i use:
grant connect to dwh identified by ;

database server crashes.

Hmmmm. I can't reproduce this.

Can you please make sure that there are no old versions of SQLWNTM.DLL or
SQLBAPW.DLL that are being invoked when you run SQLTalk?

BTW, you should not be able to create a user without a password.

Hi Michael,

We are able to reproduce the problem when we set the activity level higher
than 0. The defect is logged as:

84397 - Database engine crashes when trying to grant connect using a zero
length password with display level set to 1 or above.

yes, there should be always a password string!
i wanted to test what will happen when a user leaves the password blank
