Serializing/Deserializing

Hi,

I'm working with the new SalXMLSerializeUDV / SalXMLDeserializeUDV -
methods, as a good and fast way, to save the clients configuration. So I
have to save also path-variables.

First serializing is ok. The path is saved as '...\...\...'. But each time
the functions are invoked, the backslashes will increase in wondrous way.

Hoping this bug will fixed in the first PTF.

So long

Hi ,
I have an application with the same scenario , the application is working
fine for me .The Xml file is getting created at right place.
My sericalization code looks like,
SalXMLSerializeUDV("b_obj", "..\\..\\UDV_XML_1.XML", XML_DocAndSchema ),
I guess this is what you are trying to do.If you are trying to do something
else let me know
I try to figure it out!
cheers :)

Hi sudheer,

thanks for your answer, the *.XML-File is created at the right place - ok,
but this is not the point.

Please have a look at the attachment (please rename to
'theSerializingTest.app') - the point is, that the content of an instanceVar
itself is saved incorrectly (in the example m_path). In the first
serialization the content (in xml) is "\bla\bli" - the first deserializing
results in "\\bla\\bli" . A new serialization write "\\bla\\bli" to the xml,
whereupon the following deserialization results in "\\\\bla\\\\bli" .

so long - tk
