Hi Suren,

How faq and bugreport are supposed to work ?

IMHO those forums should be read only for us and you (or someone in charge) should feed it with real FAQ and bugs.

If everyboby posts what he thinks is a bug or a FAQ then they (the forums) will get messy and unusable in a couple of monthes :-(

Maybe users could vote/suggest in order to have a thread moved to those RO forums !

Anyone out there has some more ideas ?

Ciao

Hi Mirko,

sounds fine to me. I'd like to see the FAQ and BugReport forums
moderated.

PS: I can't quote your post, because it's in HTML. Time to stick to the
new guidelines, isn't it? :)

Even with a Ferrari you have to watch your speed, depending on where you
drive.
If you dash around the block with 80 mph, you become a nuisance for the
people who live there.

I think bugreport better shouldn't be moderated. In my opinion it provides an alternative way to Log-A-Bug to report suspected bugs.

I hope that GUPTA will respond to each posting there with their feedback about being accepted as a bug or not.

I think the community itself needs to make sure that it doesn't get flooded with mess - still GUPTA has the ability to cancel posts in case there is some real need but I think it will work out pretty well. Its in our all best interrest to report only real bugs there and provide testcases to reproduce those bugs. The cleaner the forum is kept by the community the more likely it can and will be respected by GUPTA. It also will put some pressure on GUPTA of course not to let reproduceable bugs reported in this forum exist forever in their products.

What is the news server for the old groups. I had them and one time and deleted them and I would like to be able to search them for information.

I am using team developer 2000.Whenever I debug my source code apt file and
if I say clear all break points I am getting a weird memory error
'unhandled
windows exception'. Apart from this scenario I am getting it on Row Header
double click and on selecting some menu option in my application. It is not
very consistent but it keeps appearing often.
The same code works fine if I build an Exe.
Can somebody help me overcoming this?

TD2000 was the worst version ever released (thanks to the defunct Centura Software Corp). Suggest you upgrade to a current version.

It's not necessary to cross post in these forums. Those of us that are active review them all almost daily.
