Looks like we can only get a response if we post to the Unify forums! The
same message got a response...

PS Sorry for my ignorance but...what does MARS stand for ? If I google it I
can find... the planet and... the chocolate-bar !!!

Well, here's a fixed bug list. This is accurate as of a few days ago. We're
still fixing some specific bugs at the moment to meet release criteria, but
this is close:

This was never really a Gupta owned forum more a community

Maybe a community forum, but Gupta (and now Unify) host the server that it's
on.

I hate the web interface forum at Unify. Can't tell what I have or haven't
viewed. IMHO a big step backward.

They seem to responsive to our desires. Here's hoping!

Better than the old Compuserve!

Speak for yourself. CompuServe was pretty good considering we were
connected at 14.4kb , had 30Mb hard drives, 33Mh 386's, and 1Mb RAM (if we
were lucky) and didn't have client tools like Outlook. :-)

I still have my Compuserve Classic account. 102023,1571.

It comes in handy if/when I travel to Europe, Cserve still has all their
access numbers active... so I can get an internet/email connection from any
public/hotel telephone line. I was in France in May 2007, and dialed into
Cserve everyday.

Jim,

I'm not fond of the unread icons either. I'll spare you my artistic
attempts at improving the situation, but I do have someone more talented
than I trying to come up with a better "unread" icon for the forums.

As far as I can read he is speaking about the whole interface and not only
the unread icon !!!

I strongly support THIS NG-Forum

I appreciate that there are many strong feelings about the newsgroups
vs. the forums. I have no intention of turning off the newsgroups, and
if this community is where you feel comfortable, then by all means
continue to use it.

However, the forums are where I've directed my support team to spend
their time, since they make for a more efficient support interface.

I do understand what you mean!!!

I believe you and your team are doing a great (& hard) job with bugs
management! I prefer the way it is today then the way it was at Log-a-Bug
time (much more transparent)!!!

For other threads the community is IMHO indeed the place to post !!!

So please let yourself & your team pop around sometimes in the community :-)

TIA

Just a thought - I would go where the paying customers felt comfortable.
If otherwise, I would at least notify the customer base that certain
forums/newsgroups would be supported and others would not - ahead of the
switch. It is not a good sign when the customers have to find out trial
- the hard way.

Just a thought.

Bud
