If someone buys a copy of CTD 3.1 today, what can they expect price wise
to upgrade to TDT 2005?

Thanks,

Bud Ingraham

The best would be to close GLS upgrade subscription when you buy TD 3.1 now.
With GLS you get all upgrades without any further cost.

Your product data sheet at
http://www.guptaworldwide.com/Products/files/TD2005forLinux.pdf references
SUSE Linux Desktop v1.0 and SUSE Linux Standard v8.2

A quick trip to www.suse.com redirects you to the Novell web pages, where
the aforementioned products now have new names.

Is SUSE Linux Desktop v1.0 = Novell Linux Desktop v9?

What is the Novell equivalent of SUSE Linux Standard v8.2?

Is there a more up-to-date Linux list available?

I think the only thing missing on our datasheet is the new Novell Linux
Desktop v9. But it is based on the same Linux system as Suse Linux
Enterprise Server 9 and thus should work just fine. We expect the Novell
Linux Dektop to become the leading Linux Desktop system in the near future.

Suse Linux Desktop v1.0 was Suse's first business Desktop product released
maybe 2 years ago. Suse Linux Standard 8.2 was released before Novell took
over Suse. Nowadays all Novell/Suse products are based on SLES 9 and the 2.6
Kernel.

Novell Suse now have 3 groups of Linux products ( Team Developer 2005 for
Linux and SQLBase 9.0 for Linux should run on all of them):

Server: Novell Suse Enterprise Server v9
Business Desktop: Novell Linux Desktop v9
Consumer Desktop: Novell Suse Professional 9.0, 9,1, 9.2

You should have received the PMC by email. If not you probably have a spam
filter that prevents you from receiving the email. Let me know whether you
need the Windows or Linux PMC by private mail. I will send you the PMC then.
