Dear GUPTA newsgroup members,

you are upon the first to know our new and exciting mid and long term

created robust new versions of Team Developer and SQLBase. Now is the
time to disclose our plans for moving Team Developer to the .NET
environment. Team Developer .NET gives your investments into Team
Developer code an exciting future life. The SQLBase future includes a
SQLBase product for Linux and further exciting enhancements like page
versioning support to enhance multiuser contention and performance.

Check out the attached presentation for our future release details.

We are looking forward to a continued successful business relationship

Before we can provide a multithreading version we nned to change
several things in the SQLBase engine like the lock manager. In the
release after SQLBase 8.5 we will provide page versioning to improve
multiuser contention. Only after that multithreading could bring
scalability advantages. As per now we have not decided for a
multithreading engine, we will continue to do market research and see
wether this is a top requirement going forward.
