It actually works pretty nice, just there seems to be an error message
that can be ignored. We helped CA to upgrade Erwin to SQLBase 8.x.
Please ask CA for details on availability.

CA has nothing planned yet for SQLBase 8.1

This is what CA said:

"We currently do not have a date for when the Allfusion ERWin product
will be supported the Guptas SQL version 8.1. We do however have a new
version release scheduled for the end of this fiscal year for
Allfusion ERWin. We recommend you check back then to see if this
database has been added as a supported database. Please feel free to
contact us with any questions. "

PS:
With version 3.52 it seems to work okee as long as you don't use the
longer names.

with the latest release of erwin i just downloaded:

I tried to use the odbc 3 connection but got a lot of errors when
using the longer field names
