Functions in child object

Has anyone wished that you could write functions in child objects? Well, I
have. As I do not want to write long message actions, I would rather break
the action into smaller units. Now I have to write the function(s) into
parent. Also, calling SalSendMsg( cmbWhatever, MSG_Whatever, 0, 0 ) is not
the best way. cmbWhatever.Whatever( strWhatever ) would be much better.
Writing a derived class is not a solution; it's a work-around. Typically the
code is dependent on this particular object and other objects in the

Variables would be nice too. Suppose you react on a message and you need
variables. Where do you put them? I will put them into parent form/table.

We have been asking for such a feature since...always (AFAI can remember)

I do strongly support your wish !! (But I'm afraid that if they didn't until
now there must be a very good reason)

Much more important in my opinion is defining functional classes locally in
functional classes and functions.
