Stored Procedures and SqlFetchNext

I'd like the SPs to work in a way similar to other DBMS, like Oracle or
SQLServer. In those, when a SP is executed and there are output parameters,
those are retrieved immediately, no need to do a SqlFetchNext.

If the current behaviour of SqlBase SPs has any advantages over that other
approach, I'd like someone to tell me.

Thanks

Hi Ernesto,
The main advantage of SqlFetchNext is the resultset ; you can fech several
rows with one execute :-)
so that SP can be used (for example) to populate a table exactly like a
normal query !!!

And for no reason I would change that!

It gives you amazing flexibility (although it took me some time to
understand it well)
