Hi all,
how can I trap error code message from DB2 with my client CTD?
When I have an error in DB2 this error code is different from an error
displayed with SQLError.
Why?
Thanks a lot.

Dear Thomas,
I use CTD application and DB2 with SqlHost.
When I have an error sql like Lock or Duplicate Key the message send me is
not equal with the error number code describe into reference manual DB2. CTD
send another error code.
E.g.
DB2 generate 60023
CTD send me -3980

Why?
How can I trap DB2 error directly?
Thanks

Hi Ivano,

sorry, I don't know SqlHost. I work only with DB2/NT.

BTW: there is some other forum here on talkto....

forum.sqlhost

This look like some problems with Datatype. Try DCC.INI.
Get you any Error Text ? Try to analyse the original DB2 Error message text.

Regards,
Thomas
