SqlInMessage & SqlOutMessage : how to get the ideal settings

Post by Dave Rabelink » 12 Dec 2008, 07:08

Having read all docs on the SqlInmessage and SqlOutMessage I was
playing around with some values.

Indeed, most SQL statements are performed much quicker now, when I increase the settings.

I wonder though, why not set the settings to max ?
(to 32K=32768 bytes)

How can I determine which value would be best for particular
statements ? So, how do I determine the size of the resultsets ?

Does anyone have experience with this ?

I'm using DB2 connected through SqlHost using WinSocks (sqlws32.dll)
